I hadn’t even published my first book before people started asking me, “Are you going to make On Impulse an audiobook?” I wanted so much to tell people yes, but honestly, it felt like something completely out of my reach. I pushed that dream to the back burner where it’s been simmering and cooking for several long years.

And now it’s almost ready to enjoy!

Launch of my Online Bookstore!

I opened my own online bookstore!

You can now buy my ebooks and audiobooks directly from me. The On Impulse audiobook will be exclusively in my store for the first few months. It releases on October 13th, but it’s already up for preorder!

Every direct purchase helps fund future audiobooks. My goal is to get On Impact done as soon as possible, and selling direct gives me the best shot at that. Instead of retailers taking a majority cut, I can funnel more of that money right back into the books.

To celebrate the launch, I’m giving away the Reliance Sinclair prequel, On Ignition for a limited time. It was first published in Crooked v.3. No new material was added, but it has a shiny new cover by MiblArt.

Second Place in the SPSFC4

On Impulse named SPSFC4 Runner Up

August 6, 2025

The Self-Published Science Fiction Competition is a year-long contest where volunteer judges read and review hundreds of books with the goal of shining a laser beam on wonderful works of self-pubbed sci-fi.

The competition is fierce but with good comradery, and this year, I’m so excited to say that On Impulse made it all the way to second place! In fact, I’m told the margin between first and second was just 0.392 points. It was a nailbiter down to the very end!

Hyder & Howe Reunion

   I spent the weekend of April 29, 2023 attending the Hyder & Howe Reunion in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Elicia Hyder took me under her wing as a mentee last year, and I was so excited to give her a copy of On Impulse.
   The event was a full night of hilarious games, trivia, and bonding with fellow readers. The next morning, a group of us enjoyed breakfast at Tupelo Honey. If you're also an Elicia Hyder fan, then you know what a bucket list item that was. And if that wasn't enough, I even met a few people who had read my book! 
   A big thank you to authors Elicia Hyder and Violet Howe for hosting this event and showing us all such a great time!
