(From the Intro by Jessie Kwak) Welcome to CROOKED V.3! This third installment in the Crooked anthology series brings you ten more stories of space crime. The goal of the Crooked anthology series is to introduce you, the reader, to authors who are currently writing sci-fi crime stories. Many of the stories in this collection are set in larger universes, which means that if you read something you like, you'll find plenty more in that author's catalogue to keep you busy.

Jobs will go wrong. Backs will be stabbed. Mayhem will break out.

Minnesota Library Book Club Kits

September 2024

On Impulse and the other two winners of the 2023 Minnesota Indie Author Project Awards are now available digitally as book club kits through the Minnesota library system. The kits include information on how to access each book via Biblioboard and discussion questions for your group to use. You can find the materials in the book club section of your local Minnesota library or by asking your librarian.

Lexington Legendary Book Bash

This contest looked not only at the story itself but also at the entire presentation of the book, including the cover, description, and Look Inside features. On Impulse wins Minnesota Author Project Award

I'm humbled and honored to announce that On Impulse is the winner of the 2023 Minnesota Author Project contest in the Adult Fiction category!
The contest is aimed at connecting indie authors with local libraries and readers. Libraries were a fundamental part of my reading and writing journey, and I am beyond words that my little book was chosen this year. Thank you!

Hyder & Howe Reunion

I spent the weekend of April 29, 2023 attending the Hyder & Howe Reunion in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Elicia Hyder took me under her wing as a mentee last year, and I was so excited to give her a copy of On Impulse.
The event was a full night of hilarious games, trivia, and bonding with fellow readers. The next morning, a group of us enjoyed breakfast at Tupelo Honey. If you're also an Elicia Hyder fan, then you know what a bucket list item that was. And if that wasn't enough, I even met a few people who had read my book!
A big thank you to authors Elicia Hyder and Violet Howe for hosting this event and showing us all such a great time!
